Paranaut was formed in December of 2004. Three musicians assembled with the goal of creating heavy music of the "stoner rock" and "doom metal" variety. Paranaut started playing shows in May of ’05. Starting with a bang, they expanded their set and still yearned for something different... interesting. As talents, ideas, and influences melted together, a stronger desire was discovered. Quickly becoming bored with their small set, they expanded their sound and took many directions at once. Incorporating elements of progressive, experimental, noise/drone, and psychedelic music, they began to produce epic sonic experiences that are unique in nearly every performance.
